A Custom Graduation Gift for a Fan of Cars & Robots
Tracy from San Francisco reached out after seeing my artwork online, hoping to surprise her son with a custom illustration for his graduation. She wanted something meaningful and personal — combining two of his childhood favorites: sport cars and robot toys.
I started with a pencil sketch, then layered in fine ink detail, Prismacolor pencils, and charcoal for the background. The bold colors and dynamic layout captured the energy and nostalgia she envisioned.
The piece was completed in one month and shipped to California. Tracy had it professionally framed, and it now hangs perfectly in her son’s bedroom — a personal tribute that fits seamlessly with the room’s design.
